TROUBLESHOOTING
Some
users (especially PC users running XP) seem to have a little trouble getting
the on2 codec to install and work with Quicktime 6, here are a few workarounds
that should help:
1. Go to the Quicktime Uninstaller and COMPLETELY uninstall Quicktime from your computer. (NOTE: When you try to uninstall quicktime it gives you a warning message asking if you want to Uninstall everything or Uninstal or Cancel.) You must make sure to Uninstall everything or it won't work.
2. Then download QT6 and install it. Now run QuickTimeUpdater.exe (should be located in your Quicktime prog folder, C:\Program Files\Quicktime\). Click the 'custom' button. Now next to 'On2' is should say 'Not Installed', check the box and install it.
