Update: Darel Finley (long time contributor to TFN) has written a custom programme that not only automatically creates this styling, but also the entire opening to your Star Wars Film (20th Century Fox knock-off and all) It's a peice of cake to use, and I would highly recommend going HERE instead of waiding throgh my tutorial.
